Why do we need good ductwork? The ductwork is what is delivering you the air from your air conditioning system. If it’s not designed properly you might not be getting the air flow to that room that is always hot or cold. If your duct work is not sealed properly you will be bringing outside air into your system. Your system can not handle this if it’s not designed for it.

It’s not uncommon to need duct repairs. Older homes get remodeled and added onto but keep the old ductwork that is undersized. Your system might have been replaced in the past and someone thought going back with a bigger unit would help. But if they never fixed the duct work you will have the same issues plus some more.
